Our Mission & Vision
The North Little Rock Wildcats Youth Football Association is a 501c3 non profit organization that offers an instructional football program for youth ages 4-12. The Wildcats are dedicated to teaching the youth of our community the fundamentals and proper techniques of tackle football. Our emphasis is on developing physical fitness, sportsmanship, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership skills in a positive and safe environment. We strive to provide opportunities for all participants to develop individual skills and abilities while being a contributing member of the team. It is important to The Wildcats that we provide a way for athletes to build lasting friendships, great memories, and fun!
The coaches are dedicated to promoting the core values of the organization. Wins and losses are NOT THE PRIORITY of our coaches; developing life skills and individual character is what guides our coaching decisions and actions. Coaches and staff are expected to lead by example in both words and actions on and off the football field. Coaches accept responsibility for the development of our athletes as both players and people while under their direction. Our goal is to be an organization that not only develops Wildcat football players that parents and coaches will be proud of, but also guide players to becoming positive contributors to any team/school they choose to be a part of in their community.
Who We Are
The NLR Wildcats Youth Football Organization was started in 2006 by the late Dennis Carroll and Darwin Britt. The organization provides a safe and affordable youth football and cheer option for kids ages 4 through 12. In 2007, the organization joined the Independent Youth Football League and has grown each year. Today, the organization is currently lead By it’s President Bernard Bracely. Today the program is the largest and most popular youth football organization in North Little Rock.
The organization is always looking for new members no matter the size, talent or skill level. We welcome any child that has a desire to learn the game of football or cheerleading.

NLR Wildcat Teams & Programs
The NLR Wildcats youth football/cheer program has 4 levels / age groups for kids ages 4-6yrs play flag football ages 7-8yr
division plays tackle 9-10 division plays tackle and 11/12yr. division plays tackle. The cheerleaders are split into two groups 5-8yrs and 9-12yrs.

The NLR Wildcat off season spring workouts starts in April and we also do personal one on one workouts and training in
the spring for determined dates and times. Please contact coach Bernard for information regarding our fall tackle football.

4-6 Year Old Program
THE 4-6 YEAR OLD PROGRAM IS THE FOUNDATION OF THE ORGANIZATION. AT THIS LEVEL THE KIDS PLAY FLAG FOOTBALL AND LEARN ABOUT THE BASICS AND FUNDAMENTALS OF THE GAME. HERE IT IS ALL ABOUT TEAMWORK AND HAVING FUN. OUR 4-6 YEAR OLD PROGRAM HAS WON SIX LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Girls Cheerleading Team
THE NLR WILDCATS CHEER SQUAD IS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF Ms. SHALONDA HUNT AND HER TEAM. KNOWN AS THE “PRETTY GRILS”. THE CHEER SQUAD IS A GROUP OF DEDICATED YOUNG LADIES THAT WORK HARD TO BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE ON AND OFF THE FIELD. IN ADDITION TO BEING A CHEERLEADER THE YOUNG LADIES ALSO LEARN TO BE SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS. Ms. SHALONDA TEACHES THEM THE BASICS OF CHEERLEADING AND THE IMPORTANCE OF A GOOD EDUCATION.
7-8 Year Old Tackle Group
THE 7-8 TACKLE GROUP IS THE BUILDING BLOCKS LEVEL. AT THIS LEVEL OUR BOYS LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS OF TACKLING AND BLOCKING. HERE KIDS LEARN TO LOVE THE GAME OF FOOTBALL, IT GETS EXCITING TO THEM AND THE PARENTS. THIS GROUP CURRENTLY HAS 3 LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2014, 2017, 2019) BUT HAS BEEN TO THE BIG GAME 7 YEARS IN A ROW.
9-10 Year Old Tackle Group
THE 9-10 YEAR OLD TACKLE GROUP IS A LITTLE BIT MORE COMPETITIVE. AT THIS LEVEL IT’S TIME TO EXPAND THE KID’S FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE. OUR BOYS WILL LEARN OFFENSE AND DEFENSIVE SCHEMES AND HOW OPERATE ON THE FIELD WITHOUT A COACH, CURRENTLY THIS LEVEL HAS 6 LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND HAS BEEN TO THE LEAGUE SUPERBOWL GAME 11 STRAIGHT YEARS IN A ROW.
11-12 Year Old Level
THE 11-12 YEAR OLD LEVEL IS BIG BOY FOOTBALL AND IS VERY COMPETITIVE. THIS LEVEL IS A TEST OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND HEART. AT THIS LEVEL COACHES PREPARE THE PLAYERS FOR THE JR. HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL OF FOOTBALL. THIS AGE GROUP CURRENTLY HAS 4 LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS: 2013,2015 2017 2021 AND HAS BEEN TO THE LEAGUE SUPERBOWL 9 TIMES.
